Established by a group of visionary entrepreneurs hailing from rural villages, the Kantipudi family started their business journey by trading agricultural commodities. The Beginning: Rice Milling

1928
The journey of Kantipudi Group began in 1928 with the establishment of a Rice Mill. With a focus on providing quality rice processing and trading services, the business was initially centered around the local agricultural economy. This venture laid the foundation for what would become a diverse and far-reaching enterprise in the coming decades.

Expanding Horizons: Trading of Jaggery and Pulses

1948
In 1948, the Kantipudi Group diversified its operations by entering the trading business. The family began trading in Jaggery and Pulses, which were essential agricultural commodities. This expansion marked the Group's first step into the broader trading industry, extending their reach and influence within the local market.

Timber Business

1961
By 1961, the Kantipudi Group ventured into the timber business, capitalizing on the growing demand for timber products. The business flourished, and the Group established itself as a reliable supplier of quality timber in the region.

Boat Building

1973
In 1973, Kantipudi expanded further by entering the boat building industry. With the coastline of Andhra Pradesh providing ample opportunities, the Group began building and supplying boats, contributing to the maritime industry. This marked another strategic diversification, reinforcing their reputation as an innovative business group.

Steel and Iron Industry: Kantipudi Steels Pvt. Ltd.

1987
The year 1987 saw the Kantipudi Group enter the Iron and Steel industry, forming Kantipudi Steels Pvt. Ltd. Over the next few decades, the company became one of the largest wholesale and retail iron and steel traders in coastal Andhra Pradesh. With over 40 years of business experience, Kantipudi Steels became a key player in the industry. They became LTC holders for Vizag Steel Plant and distributors for Jindal Iron and Steel across Andhra Pradesh. With well-established yards and processing units in Visakhapatnam, they built a reputation for quality, reliability, and customer-centric service.

Textile Industry

1998
By 1998, the Group diversified into the textile industry, broadening its portfolio of businesses. The move was driven by the increasing demand for textile products in both local and national markets. Kantipudi’s entry into this sector further established the Group's versatility and business acumen.

Automobile Sector

2005
In 2005, the Kantipudi Group entered the automobile industry, becoming a Suzuki Motorcycle dealer in East Godavari. With dealerships in Rajahmundry and Kakinada, and a strong presence with 15 touchpoints across the district, the Group successfully tapped into the growing demand for motorcycles and two-wheelers in the region.

Nissan Dealership

2011
Building on its success in the automobile industry, Kantipudi Group expanded its reach by becoming a dealer for Nissan in East Godavari. Since 2011, the Group has been serving the customers in the region, establishing its presence with bases in Rajahmundry and extending its influence to the surrounding areas.

Real Estate and Construction

2016
The Real Estate and Construction division of Kantipudi Group began its journey in February 2016. The first project – “AMARVILAS” was designed to be a significant differentiator in the East Godavari district, offering value-for-money properties with modern amenities found in larger metropolitan areas. This project marked the Group's entry into a new and lucrative industry. The Kantipudi Group has ambitious plans to continue expanding its presence in real estate, with upcoming projects that will further solidify their position in the sector.
With plans to expand into construction in the near future, the Group aims to build upon its real estate success and continue contributing to the region's growth.

Kia Dealership

2019
In 2019, Kantipudi took a significant step in the automobile sector by becoming a dealer for Kia Motors in East Godavari District. This move brought world-class automobile technology to the region, expanding the Group's offerings to customers seeking modern, high-performance vehicles.

Cement Distribution

2020
Kantipudi also diversified into the cement distribution business, partnering with multiple players in the industry. This strategic move positioned the Group as a key supplier in the rapidly growing construction sector.
